Why provide a free service, where's the catch?
We have been asked this question a lot recently.
Phases like:
- I am worried the payment box is round the corner
- There is no such thing as a free lunch
- How do you make your money?
- Are you going to start charging in the future?
So here are the answers
We could charge for the systems, we are sure we would get a plenty of customers. This is the way a number of other companies offering similar systems have gone, They are probably very happy with the money they generate, good luck to them.
We however carried out some lengthy market research and analysis, looking at other companies and decided a free route to market would be better in the long run.
Our business plan works like this
As you can see from the pages you have already visited, there are a few adverts around the site. Not too many, they are not in your face, but they are there. This is where we generate our revenue, from subtle adverts.
This means we are able to offer the service to all schools absolutely free (we know schools have limited budgets). We don't consider we are doing anything unique, but it does appear we are unique in the educational field.
The future
As for the future we would really like to see schools everywhere use the systems. If we started charging for the current systems this would never happen. Google have not created the huge empire they have by charging you to search have they?

Key points
- We can't, don't and won't sell any information about you to any other company or organization.
- You always have the right to cancel, we will not pester or spam you.
- To grow the business we need as many schools as possible, so it's in our interest for you to be happy and tell colleagues in other schools.
